What You Should Do When You Have Damaged Windshields

November 26th, 2010

Windshield can be easily pitted and cracked after being hit by debris and other hard objects. It is essential that a windshield is repaired quickly – regardless of their severity, because as you continue to use the car, inevitably they will grow in size, which can distract or obscure your vision. Leaving cracks too long can eventually destroy your windshield. Actions needed to deal with windshield damages depend on the size of the pit and crack.

In general, if the damage is smaller than one inch in diameter, it usually can be repaired easily. If it is much larger, probably you’re better off ordering a new windshield to be installed by skilled technician instead of repairing it, as most of the time the weakened area will eventually give away.If the damage is very small, you can try one of the windshield repair kits available on the market, however its durability compared to repairs performed by professional is still debatable.

If the damage obscures your field of view, repairing the windshield is often a dangerous choice. You should replace the damaged windshield with a new one as soon as possible. It is not a good idea to get a windshield from car junkyard, as it may have small defects and can have very short useful life. Don’t take a windshield from a totaled car, because collision shocks and air bag deployment often create excessive stress on the windshield. When buying a new windshield make sure it is an OEM. Choosing a poor windshield could cause serious injury or even death due to an accident.

For this reason, the work should be performed by a trusted windscreen specialist. In many areas, windshield replacement business can do the job anywhere, including in your driveway. If you are unable reach to a repair shop immediately, gently put some adhesive tape over the damaged area to slow the spread down. It is also helpful to drive as slow as possible and avoid bumpy roads. Do not touch the damaged area, try to keep it dry, and don’t use air conditioning, heater or defroster, as changes in temperature and humidity can escalate the cracks. By Pramod Dadhich

Last month I got a costumer who wants to visit Ireland for holiday along with the family. They want to stay there for 1 week and want to go to Waterford and from there they want to fly back to their country. So they asked me to plan my holiday accordingly. They told me that they wanted to visit the places in Ireland and in Waterford in a car, as they trip consists of 2 elderly people. So they don’t want to use the private transportation and wanted to travel comfortably. So I want a car agency site which will provide me the services both at Ireland and Waterford. I was bit worried as I wanted to plan the holiday within the budget.

After making a long search on internet I came across a site called Ireland car rentals . This search engine provides services over 15000 destinations worldwide. After compare the prices with other car hire companies I found it to be the best. It also gives information about the locations and places to visit to its visitors. It also gives options to choose from various car models.

After completed satisfied with the site, I booked a car for my customer to the city. I have hired the car for whole week so that they can visit the city comfortably. After one week, when they landed at Waterford Airport using car hire Waterford Airport, the car from this agency have picked the customers and show them the city. After completion of whole trip they were dropped back at Water Ford Airport.

My customers were very happy by the services of this car agency at both the cities. So I decided to use this agency to plan the holidays to my customers.
